I’m a little confused as to if this is really day one, two, or three. Technically I spent a full day traveling, but we traveled forward in time, and came out 7 hours into the future… I’m going to say this is day two.
We have now arrived in Venice and were carted around via boat. Fortunately for me, I didn’t have to worry about trying to carry my luggage along because everyone else has all my bits an pieces. Only one person has dropped their luggage into a canal and they didn’t have any of my clothing in their bag, so it’s all good. Next time I come I plan to bring only water proof clothing and luggage. Maybe I’ll just wear a swimsuit or a wetsuit the whole time I’m here. Just to be safe.
I am now lounging at the hotel while everyone rests up for us to go to St. Mark’s Basilica. I have seen a lot of pictures of this place online, so I almost feel like I have already been there, but it will be good to see it in person. I plan to take a lot of exciting pictures, but will probably have to use my phone because I can’t remember who has my camera in their luggage at this point.
Even more exciting than an old building is the three course dinner planned for this evening. If the food is as good as everyone says it’s going to be, I’ll bring back an Italian Chef with me.
